See practical info for Chrysi Ammoudia in Thasos, including location, beach type, wind exposure, map and tips to help you decide when to visit.
The longest beach on Thasos
Fine golden sand with a shallow seabed that runs far out — the classic family beach, on the northeast coast below Panagia/Potamia. At ~3 km it is the longest uninterrupted beach on the island. The name means "golden sand".
Mixed organization: large serviced stretches and undeveloped, dune-backed sections. Open to the northeast, so it catches the Meltemi — windsurf/kitesurf in summer.
