The beach of the pierced rock
Tripiti spreads out west of Limenaria, on the southwestern coast of Thasos, a large sandy beach with rocky edges and organized sections. It owes its name to a great hole that the waves and the constant flow of water opened in the rock over the centuries.
The word 'Tripiti' itself points to a 'place of holes', and the pierced rock that links the small shore to the sea is its trademark, a natural sculpture that sets the beach apart. Just above the coast, in the same area, lies the village of the same name.
It is organized, with beach bars, sunbeds and umbrellas, tavernas nearby and parking, and in 2025 it was among the spots listed for seasonal lifeguard coverage. Access is by a surfaced road.
