The little cove beside Rosogremos
Notos is a small sandy beach on the south coast of Thasos, a few kilometres east of Potos and just past Rosogremos, from which it is separated by a single rocky corner. Its name echoes the Greek word notos, meaning the south wind and the southern point of the horizon, the direction the shore itself faces.
It belongs to a string of small coves along the southwestern coast, between Psili Ammos and Potos, with fine white sand that continues into the water. It is one of the smallest strands in the area, which gives it the feel of a hidden inlet framed by rock.
It is organised on a small scale, with a beach bar, sunbeds and umbrellas. Access is by a paved road and a short, steep descent to the shore, with parking near the main road.
