The little strand at Platana
Hara is a small beach of coarse sand and pebbles on the northwest coast of Thasos, in the area of Rachoni and Platana, a few steps from Platana beach. Its name coincides with the Greek word for joy.
Tall trees and rich vegetation reach down to the shore, forming a green landscape that has remained relatively undisturbed. Rachoni and Platana are small settlements on the island's northwestern side, each with its own seaside character.
The beach is seasonally organised, with a beach bar, a café, sunbeds and parking, while the trees offer natural shade. Access is by a paved road.
