Peroulia

Peroulia lies in western Messinia, a few kilometres north of Koroni and close to the village of Vounaria. It is a broad stretch of sand about 1,200 metres long, with fine golden grains and shallow water.

The beach is wrapped in thick vegetation and stands out for an unusual feature: an elevator that carries visitors from the hilltop straight down to the sand, making it far easier to reach.

Peroulia is organized, with a beach bar, a restaurant and tavernas nearby, seasonal sunbeds and umbrellas and parking close by. Neighbouring Vounaria offers rooms to rent.
