A family beach with a "Zorba" link
Two main sandy beaches (Stoupa and nearby Kalogria) with fine sand and shallow, gentle water — well suited to families; Stoupa is organized with tavernas and bars on the bay. Kalogria’s water is fed by cold underground springs from Mt Taygetos.
A literary link: Nikos Kazantzakis lived here in 1917 alongside the real George Zorbas — the inspiration for "Zorba the Greek".

The shoreline at Stoupa faces west, so it usually has natural cover from northerly, north-easterly and north-westerly winds.
Stoupa has sand underfoot with shallow, gently shelving water — handy for families with young children.
For amenities, Stoupa has an organised beach, a beach bar, sunbeds, natural shade and parking nearby. It has a Seatrac assisted-access unit for accessibility — confirm it is in service before travelling. There is a campsite nearby (Camping Kalogria, ~406 m).
