Santova beach lies at Avia, about 12 kilometres south of Kalamata, on the road towards the Messinian Mani. It is a narrow shore of pebbles and coarse sand with shallow water.

It has become one of the most cosmopolitan beaches in the area, with a run of beach bars that set the tone of the place. About 700 metres long, it draws a crowd that comes for music and buzz.
