Mavrovouni

Mavrovouni, also known as Anemomilos, is a large sandy beach west of Finikounda in Messinia. It runs for a considerable length, with fine and coarse sand and shallow water.

It belongs to the long sandy coast that continues towards Anemomilos and Makrynammos. Its wide expanse has made it a well-known spot for windsurfing and water sports, while its sheer length means it rarely feels full.

Organized in sections, with seasonal umbrellas and sunbeds, seasonal water sports, tavernas and canteens nearby, camping close by and parking. It has no natural shade, so it is worth bringing your own umbrella.
