The little cove beside Lefki Akti

Loutraki lies at Bouros, east of Karystos in southern Evia, a small cove of pebbles and rocks beside the Lefki Akti stretch of coast. The place name, a diminutive of the Greek word for bath, is among the most common on Greek shores and suits the cove's small scale.

Bouros is a small seaside settlement roughly ten kilometres from the town of Karystos, on the road that follows the shoreline from Akrotiri toward Bouros. On the neighbouring Bouros shore, a sculpture by Kosmas Kroussos stands out and has become a local landmark, while around Loutraki the scenery stays simpler and more natural, with rocks framing the cove.

It is a free beach without full organization, with deep water and a southwest orientation. The road reaches close to the shore, but parking is limited, mostly along the roadside.
