The cove with the chapel on the rock

Agia Paraskevi lies in southern Evia, about 7.5 kilometres west of Karystos, on the coastal road that follows the shore. It took its name from the chapel of Agia Paraskevi standing on the rocky headland at the centre of the beach.

The headland with the chapel divides the shore into coves of sand and fine, glossy pebbles, backed by the mountain masses of Karystia. The beach canteen has become a local landmark: locals are said to hold summer gatherings and parties there, something that made Agia Paraskevi known well beyond Karystos.

The beach is not organized. A seasonal canteen operates near the shore, while parking is limited, mostly along the road. The road from Karystos reaches close to the beach, and there is shade in places.
