Chalikia Vata: pebbles of inner Mani

Chalikia Vata is a secluded pebble beach in East Mani, on the western shore of the Laconian Gulf, just west of Kotronas. It sits in the bay of Kolokytha, in an almost untouched landscape.

The shore is covered with white pebbles and larger stones, the feature from which its name is said to derive (chalikia means pebbles). It lies about 30 km south of Gytheio, on the Taygetos peninsula, in one of the remotest corners of inner Mani.

It is an unorganized beach, and the water deepens quickly. It is accessible by road and has parking nearby.
