The heart of eastern Mani
Kotronas beach lies in the largest seaside village of eastern Mani, built at the head of a bay, in Lakonia. Pebbles and coarse sand make up the shore, right within the village itself.
Beside the settlement rises the small Skopa peninsula, roughly 300 metres long, joined to the mainland by a strip of pebbles. Kotronas preserves the traditional Maniot image, with stone houses, tower houses and cobbled lanes.
Access to the beach is direct, by a paved road with parking nearby. Within the village there are tavernas and cafes, while seasonal facilities operate in sections and there is shade in places.
