The long sandy shore below the Ai-Giannis chapel

Agios Ioannis beach stretches south of Nikiti, on the west coast of Sithonia in Halkidiki, along the road to Neos Marmaras. It takes its name from the chapel of Ai-Giannis, built on a rise above the beach entrance, which local sources date to the 19th century.

It is one of the best-known sandy beaches of Sithonia, notable for its length and width, and its open space is said to have hosted sports events and concerts over the years. From the chapel's rise the view takes in the coastline of the Toroneos Gulf as it continues south toward Neos Marmaras.

The shore is coarse sand mixed with pebbles and is organized seasonally in sections, with sunbeds and umbrellas. Cafes and tavernas are close by, the village amenities are a short distance away, and access is by a paved road with parking near the beach.
