A kilometre of sand in southern Sithonia

Tristinika unfolds on the southwestern coast of Sithonia in Halkidiki, a little north of Toroni and about 19 kilometres south of Neos Marmaras. Its sandy beach runs for over a kilometre and reaches some 50 metres in width in places, facing the Toronaios gulf.

Low pine-covered hills rise behind it, and the landscape keeps something of the freer, unbuilt side of Sithonia: a beach bar at the northern end is noted for its bohemian atmosphere, while a campsite lies near the southern end. The view opens toward the Kassandra peninsula across the gulf.

Much of the sand remains free of umbrellas, with seasonal facilities around the beach bar. Access is by a short dirt track off the main road of southern Sithonia, with parking nearby. The sand is fine and the seabed deepens at a moderate pace.
