The sands between Afytos and Kallithea

Liosi lies on the east coast of Kassandra, between Afytos and Kallithea, with fine sand and views over the Toroneos Gulf. It is said to be about a fifteen-minute walk from Afytos, one of the peninsula's best-known spots.

Above this corner of the coast stands Afytos, Kassandra's stone-built village, set on a rise overlooking the sea, a feature that gives the area its distinctive character. The sand is broken here and there by pebbles and stones on the seabed, which is reported to be a good spot to explore with a mask.

The beach has an organized character, with a seasonal beach bar, sunbeds and umbrellas, and a restaurant operates nearby. Access is by a paved road that reaches close to the shore, with parking nearby or along the road. The water is shallow and natural shade on the sand is minimal.
