The locals' little haunt in Vourvourou

Brounou is a small beach at Vourvourou in Sithonia, Halkidiki, between the settlement's main shore and the well-known Karydi. It faces the cluster of Vourvourou islets, with Diaporos dominating the view across the water, and stays off the area's classic tourist circuit.

Unlike the sandy stretches around it, the landscape here is rougher: rocks and pebbles make up the shore, the water deepens quickly and the trees reach down low, offering natural shade. Local guides mention it as a haunt mainly of locals and Thessaloniki residents with summer homes in the area, one of the more discreet corners of an otherwise much-photographed side of Sithonia.

There are no fixed facilities and parking is limited and informal, while the exact way down to the shore is not clearly documented in the sources, so allow for a little searching on the spot.
