The pebble cove at Daskalio

Kokoloko sits on the eastern shore of Attica, in the Daskalio area between Kakia Thalassa and Porto Rafti. It is a cove of pebbles and rocks facing east across the Petalioi Gulf toward the coast of southern Evia.

No recorded story lies behind the name, and the shore itself belongs to one of the least built-up stretches of this side of Attica: low headlands and small coves alternate along the coastline, while hiking and local sources describe a passable dirt track leading toward the Kefala area.

The beach is free, with no organization and no facilities. Access is via the dirt road, with parking near the road; the terrain is pebbles and rocks, and the water deepens quickly. Whatever you need for the day, you should bring with you.
