The pebbly shore of the fishing village

The south beach of Nikiana stretches along the east coast of Lefkada, just south of the village's small harbour, between Lygia and Nydri. It is one of the two small pebbly beaches of Nikiana, with pebbles, coarse sand and natural shade.

Nikiana is a relatively young fishing village, built amid greenery with views of the mountains of Aitoloakarnania. Tradition holds that its first inhabitants came down from the mountain villages of Alexandros and Kollyvata, high on the Skaros mountain, and settled by the shore.

Access is by a paved road to south Nikiana, with parking, while cafes and tavernas are close by.
