The pebbled cove beneath the cliffs
Agiofili sits on the south coast of Lefkada, just outside Vasiliki, a small cove of white pebbles tucked beneath high cliffs. On local maps the name also appears as Aghiofili or Agiofylli.
The bay is barely a hundred metres long, hemmed by steep limestone walls and hillsides of dense greenery, with a bed of pale pebbles and turquoise water. Its enclosed setting, reachable only from the sea or by a steep path down, keeps it feeling remote despite its fame.
It is reached by taxi boat (water taxi) from Vasiliki, which runs through the day, or by a road of about three kilometres to a paid parking lot, from where a short footpath and a few steps lead down to the shore. A seasonal canteen operates on the pebbles.
