The hidden cove next to Agios Nikitas

A picturesque, fairly secluded cove of sand, pebbles and clear water, with no road. Reach it either by an uphill path of ~20-30 minutes through the pines (starting from Agios Nikitas) or by water taxi (~5 min) from the village beach.

It has no bars or facilities — bring food and water. The boats may not run in bad weather, so watch the last return.

About this beach

Mylos is exposed in the maistros — often choppy on summer NW/W afternoons. That comes from the measured shape of the coastline around it and our curated wind records — a seasonal picture, not a live forecast, so check live wind and waves before you go.

The shoreline at Mylos faces north-west, so it usually has natural cover from southerly, south-easterly and south-westerly winds.

Mylos has sand and pebbles underfoot with shallow, gently shelving water.

There is a campsite nearby (Kathisma, ~1232 m).
