The pebbled cove with the sea cave

Desimi lies on the east coast of Lefkada, at the head of a bay of the same name, on the outer side of the Vlichos peninsula and just east of Cape Geni. It is a small, shady beach of pebbles and coarse sand, framed by olive trees and greenery.

Along the shore, small coves and sea caves invite exploration by canoe or SUP. The best known is the sea cave of Agios Nikolaos, at the northern end of the cove, a favourite spot to reach by kayak and snorkel.

Access is by a paved road down to the bay, where there are tavernas, a parking area and natural shade from the trees. Organised campsites are reported at the edges of the cove.
