Livadaki: a small sandy cove on Samos's north coast

Livadaki is a small sandy cove on the north coast of Samos, a few kilometres from the island capital, Vathy. Tucked into a narrow bay of fine sand, it runs only about a hundred metres and looks out to open water, with islets on the horizon.

The beach opens at the end of the northern coastline, where the slopes drop to the sea and leave room for a strip of sand. Its small size and shallow water have made it one of the most popular family choices in the area.

Access is from the north-coast road, with a dirt section leading down to the beach and parking nearby. Through the summer months Livadaki runs as an organised beach, with a seasonal beach bar, sunbeds, umbrellas, coffee and snacks.
