The sandy shore below Mousata

Trapezaki lies on the southern coast of Kefalonia, near the settlement of Mousata and about 13 kilometres from Argostoli. It is a sandy beach of fine sand on the southwestern shore, part of the same long strip that extends toward Kanali.

It is said that its name comes from the word trapezaki (little table), though some sources dispute this reading and consider its origin uncertain. The shore divides into two parts, one shallower near the entrance and one sandier beyond the rocks.

A taverna operates and there is parking, while the setup remains modest and seasonal. Access is by a paved road down to Trapezaki.
