The hidden cove down the rugged ravine

Kako Lagadi is a hidden pebble cove on the eastern coast of Kefalonia, between Poros and Skala. It lies at the foot of steep cliffs, where a narrow ravine opens down towards the sea.

The name 'Kako Lagadi' literally means the harsh, hard-going ravine, and it describes the landscape well: a steep rocky gorge that ends in a small pebble cove with a natural cave at its edge. It is one of the wildest and most untouched spots on Kefalonia's eastern shore.

Access is demanding: from the paved road a short descent and scramble over rocks of about 130 metres leads down to the cove, with parking at the roadside. There are no organized facilities, only the natural shade of the rocks.
