The double cove below Zola

Vouti lies on the western coast of Kefalonia, below the village of Zola, between Fteri and Agia Kyriaki. It stretches along the western side of the Agia Kyriaki bay, a strip of roughly 300 metres of pebbles and coarse sand that large rocks divide into two successive coves.

Rugged cliffs rise above the shore, and the landscape keeps the wild, unadorned look of the western coast. Zola, on the heights above, is a small traditional village of only a few dozen residents, laced with walking paths, where, it is said, a car still delivers fresh bread through the lanes each morning.

It is not fully organized, but a canteen and a taverna operate seasonally, and there is a parking area. Access is by a paved road from Zola and Agia Kyriaki.
