The little bay beside the Zakynthos ferry port
Pessada is a small sandy bay on the south coast of Kefalonia, about ten kilometres south of Argostoli, beside the little harbour of the same name. From here the summer ferries set out for Agios Nikolaos on Zakynthos.
The village of Pessada spreads over the hills above the shore, in one of the southernmost corners of the island. The small bay of fine sand and rock sits below the harbour, and from above you can watch the boats coming and going.
It is unorganized. You reach the beach by steps or a short path from the parking area above the cove.
