The central shore of the reed beds

Kalamionas is the central and largest beach of Kassiopi, on the northern coast of Corfu, just a few metres west of the village. It runs for around 170 metres, with a surface of pebbles and coarse sand. Its name evokes a reed bed (kalamionas), the sort of name given to many shoreline spots across Greece.

It lies at the heart of one of the north's best-known resorts, with Kassiopi's little harbour and its castle close at hand. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag over the years, and a diving school is said to operate along the shore.

Tavernas and cafes line the beachfront, there is a parking area, and seasonal sunbeds are set out. Access is by a paved road through Kassiopi.
