The shore beside Paleokastritsa's little marina

Alipa lies on the western coast of Corfu, in Paleokastritsa, within the same bay as the little marina of the same name. It is a small shore of about 90 metres, of sand and fine pebbles, looking out over the boats moored in the marina.

The name Paleokastritsa means 'old little castle' and is attributed to Angelokastro, the Byzantine fortress set on a steep cliff a little to the north along the coast. From Alipa many boat trips set out to the sea caves and coves of the west coast, since this is the area's main anchorage.

Tavernas operate beside the shore, while the little marina with its boats is right alongside. Access is by a paved road within Paleokastritsa.
