Gialia is a beach a little north of Chora, the capital of Andros, close to the traditional village of Stenies. Its shore is laid with pebbles and coarse sand, and it counts among the most popular spots near the capital.
Stenies, the village rising above the cove, is said to be the home of ship captains and seafaring families of Andros, with mansions and gardens. From Gialia a short walk brings you to the neighbouring beach of Piso Gialia, as the two coves follow one another along the coast.
