The sandy bay near Gavrio

Agios Petros is a large sandy beach on the west coast of Andros, right beside the main Gavrio-Batsi road. It belongs to the easy, family-friendly stretch near Gavrio, with fine sand and shallow water.

It is part of the run of sandy shores along northwestern Andros. Beach bars, known locally under names such as San Pedro, operate here alongside family tavernas, giving the beach a lively character through the summer season.
