The organized sands of Planos

Tsilivi spreads along the northeastern coast of Zakynthos, a few kilometres northwest of the town, a large organized sandy beach. It is also known as Planos, since the resort grew from two small settlements that merged: Tsilivi by the sea and Planos around the main road.

The beach is one of the most popular on the island's eastern side and one of Zakynthos's most developed tourist centres, with fine sand. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag.

It is fully organized, with beach bars, tavernas, sunbeds, umbrellas and watersports, and is reached by a paved road.

About this beach

The bay at Tsilivi opens to the north-east, so it usually has natural cover from southerly, south-easterly and south-westerly winds. Orientation only reflects which way the coast faces, not confirmed shelter, so check wind and waves in the app before you go.

Tsilivi has sand underfoot with shallow, gently shelving water — handy for families with young children.

For amenities, Tsilivi has an organised beach, a beach bar, sunbeds and food nearby. There is a campsite nearby (Camping Zante, ~2124 m).
