The hidden cove down the steps

Skala is one of the hidden beaches of Ammoudia, on the southern coast of the Preveza region, near the mouth of the Acheron. It tucks itself into the greenery, in a small cove invisible from the road.

It owes its name to the way you reach the shore: a short path and then some steep steps lead down to the little cove of fine grey sand and rock. It sits beside Alonaki Fanariou and Ormos tou Odyssea, on a coast full of small, secluded inlets.

Skala has no organized services. Shade comes from the trees and the slopes around the cove, and it is reached on foot, by the path and the steps.
