The blue shore under the eucalyptus

Kyani Akti lies at the entrance of the Amvrakikos Gulf, just outside the town of Preveza, and is the town's most popular beach. Its name, meaning the deep-blue shore, comes together with a beautiful grove of eucalyptus trees.

It spreads where the Amvrakikos Gulf meets the Ionian, and is counted among the oldest and best-loved bathing spots of the area. In the grove beside it locals still play ampali, a traditional game with metal balls that, tradition holds, dates back to the era of Venetian rule. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag.

There is shade from the grove, with cafes and tavernas nearby and a parking area. Access is by a made-up road, through the town of Preveza.
