Alonaki Prevezas is a small cove on the Ionian coast, a few kilometres outside the town of Preveza. Its name, 'the little threshing floor,' belongs to a set of names that recall the farming life of the mainland coast.
It is a small bay of coarse sand and pebbles, framed by slopes and vegetation that give shade in places. It sits on the coast running south from Preveza, in an area of successive small inlets open to the Ionian.
