The pebbled shore with the dunes and tamarisks

Haramida lies on the southeastern side of Lesvos, about 14 kilometres south of Mytilini, near the entrance of the Gulf of Gera. It is one of the longest beaches in the area, with a shoreline of coarse sand and pebbles.

Both the shore and the seabed are covered in mid-sized pebbles, while a few seaside dunes and sparse vegetation of tamarisks, phrygana and reed beds run along its length. Above the beach stands the settlement of Haramida, and higher up lies Ano Haramida, while next to it opens the neighbouring cove of Agios Ermogenis.

Part of the beach is organized, with seasonal sunbeds, a beach bar and tavernas nearby, while other stretches stay more natural. There is natural shade in places and parking close by, and access is by paved road.
