A wide beach with a picturesque harbour
A long, wide beach of good yellow sand, with shallow, gentle water, ~13 km west of Kavala; it splits into three parts (the last, past the marina, turns to pebbles). The central "Alana" has bars and volleyball, a Blue Flag since 2007 and free parking.
Its distinctive feature: a picturesque fishing harbour; the village was founded in 1924 by refugees from Eastern Thrace.
