A surf beach on the north coast
A long beach of golden sand and clear turquoise-green water, near Armenistis. It is shallow and used by families, but on the north coast it catches the Meltemi — raising waves and currents, which makes it a known surf/windsurf/kitesurf spot; swimmers should take care.
Easy access from the main paved road with parking. Organized (umbrellas, sunbeds, a summer snack bar), next to the famous surf beach of Mesakti — a ~15-minute walk from Armenistis. Ikaria is one of the world’s "Blue Zones" of longevity.
