The great shore of Palaia Epidavros

Gialasi is the largest beach of Palaia (Ancient) Epidavros in Argolida, on the southern side of the settlement, about two kilometres from the harbour. Its name echoes the Greek word 'gialos', the seashore, fitting for the most extensive stretch of coast in the area.

Palaia Epidavros is known for its ancient theatre and for the underwater antiquities hidden on its seabed, and Gialasi is one of its main reference points. It is laid with white pebbles and sand, and is split into organized and free sections.
