Black sand and Ancient Thera
A wide beach of black volcanic sand and pebbles at the northern foot of Mesa Vouno — the same rocky wall separates Kamari from Perissa. High above stand the ruins of Ancient Thera (theatre, agora, temples).
It is one of the island’s most developed resorts, with a long seafront promenade full of restaurants; family-oriented and a Blue Flag beach.
