The pine-clad cove of lovers

Limanaki tis Agapis, better known as Love Bay, is a small pine-clad cove on the western side of Poros, just past Neorio. The name is said to date from around the 1950s, when thicker vegetation and the dirt road of the era made the cove a favourite meeting spot for couples who wanted to be away from the island's watchful eyes.

The landscape still lives up to the name: pine trees run right down to the shore, almost touching the sea, and a small picturesque chapel stands on the rock at the edge of the beach. The combination of dense green and the boats that anchor in the cove has made Love Bay one of the most recognisable images of Poros.

The beach is organized, with sand, a beach bar and natural shade from the pines, and it is reached by a paved road from Poros town.
