The large pebbly bay among the olive groves
Kipiadi stretches along the east coast of Paxos, about seven kilometres north of Gaios, between Loggos and the capital, near the hamlet of Koutsi. It is counted among the island's largest bays, a long semicircular arc of pebbles roughly four hundred metres in length.
All around, olive groves and dense greenery run down to the shore, while a few rocky formations mark the edges of the bay. Until recently no road reached this far, which kept the beach undeveloped, with no tavernas or facilities, as it remains to this day. It is a well-known anchorage for sailing boats and yachts that lie at anchor in the bay.
It stays unorganized, with no facilities and natural shade from the trees. Access is by a dirt road and a short footpath down from the parking point.
