Agia Theodoti is on the northeastern side of Ios, about 10 kilometres from Chora, at the head of an open, horseshoe-shaped bay of golden sand.

The beach and its small settlement take their name from the church of the same name, a 16th-century Byzantine chapel regarded as one of the oldest on the island, said to have been built over the ruins of an ancient temple. A little further on lie the remains of a Hellenistic tower.

Agia Theodoti offers a canteen and a seasonal snack bar, with a taverna nearby, seasonal umbrellas and sunbeds, and natural shade, but no beach bar. There is parking close by, and access is via a road or a seasonal bus.
