Mouros: pebbles and caves in Kato Meria
Mouros sits in the Kato Meria area of southern Amorgos, near the villages of Vroutsi and Kamari, about 15 kilometres from Chora.
It is a small beach of grey pebbles ringed by towering rocks. Small sea caves open at their base, giving the cove its wild, geological character.
Parking and a café sit above the shore, from where a footpath of about ten minutes leads down to the beach. The ground is pebbles and rock, the water is deep and there is no shade. A taverna and café operate nearby.
