See practical info for Tsampika in Rhodes, including location, beach type, wind exposure, map and tips to help you decide when to visit.

Golden sand below the monastery

One of Rhodes’s few true golden-sand beaches (the island is mostly pebble), with shallow, warm water, below a steep ~300 m hill crowned by the monastery of Panagia Tsambika.

By tradition, childless women climb the ~300 steps barefoot to pray for a child, who by custom is then named Tsambikos/Tsambika. The beach is highly organised in summer, with watersports.
