A green cove below a monastery
Fine sand with small pebbles and clear turquoise water, in a lush green cove ~11 km northwest of town. It is named after the historic Panagia Kechria monastery (16th-17th c.) on the slope above.
Partly organized (a stone-built taverna with sunbeds). The access road is rough — a 4x4/quad or water taxi is better. North coast, exposed to northerly winds.
