Agios Ioannis Beach, Gavdos

A sandy beach with creamy-pink sand and a shallow, flat, crystal-clear seabed (easy entry), on the north coast of Gavdos — the southernmost point of Europe. Beside it spreads the ecologically important Kedrodasos juniper woodland.

Unorganized, with a small tavern/mini-market nearby; camping is tolerated if you respect the junipers. Access by bus from Karave or a ~1-hour walk from Sarakiniko. Exposed — usually wavy.
