The pebble shore with the Blue Flag

Agios Isidoros lies on the north shore of the Corinthian Gulf, just west of Antikyra, where Fokida meets Boeotia. The beach takes its name from the small seaside settlement of the same name, officially recognized in 1981, which grew from a handful of permanent residents into a favourite summer destination for the area.

The shore is laid with fine pebbles that continue onto the seabed, and a large rock stands out at one end. Green slopes run down to the sea and give the landscape its character. The beach has been awarded a Blue Flag, while neighbouring Antikyra was famed in antiquity for hellebore, the herb the ancients considered a remedy for the mind.

It is organized in the summer months, with sunbeds, umbrellas, a beach bar, showers and changing rooms, and cafes and restaurants operate nearby. Access is by a paved road, with parking on the road above the shore, and the water becomes deep fairly quickly.
